Inspiral ReWalk – Underground/Overground Resounding
May 5 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
£5Inspiral ReWalk of Segment 7 – Underground/Overground Resounding 2-4pm Meet Canada Water
For those who enjoy walking to a gently hummed refrain we start the segment trail at 2pm – meeting at the main ticket barriers in the entrance of Canada Water Tube – to ride the Jubilee underground together to Canary Wharf. This sounding asks us to hear to the mechanical underground choir with artist Mikey Georgeson before the start of a short exploration of the Wharf rounding a collective refrain overground, working our way up to the Limehouse Cut and toward Bow Church.
If you are late or cannot make it to Canada Water then come direct to Hilton Dock Ferry North Terminus by 2.30pm for this detouring walk via the empty plinth at London Docklands Museum. We will be joined in this walking by MA artists Sneh Mehra and Carl Engmann who will offer gentle interventions near to Bartlett Park that include in situ drawing and Underground echoes of Mikey Georgeson’s re-singing of the line.
This richly layered walk event includes interventions from new walking associates, inspirallondon associate artists and links up with the longer trail walk from Bow Church to Springfield Park led by Richard Couzins -This walk moves from beneath us from the deep of Canada Water station to the heights of Stamford Hill, offering thoughts about our elevation along the way …
