Gants Hill to Chingford – Join the Rewalk of this classic InspiralLondon Segment 23

An early evening walk from Gants Hill to Chingford. Meeting Sunday at 2pm Gants Hill Tube.

Join the Rewalk of this classic InspiralLondon Segment 23 – with unexpected I Ching refreshments.

From Gants Hill we quickly zigzag our way to rejoin the Roding River, as it winds northwards passed Redbridge and Woodford. Before we turn west to Roding Valley Rail Station and find our ways across the vestiges of Epping Forest to arrive at Whitehall Plain.

Here we will provide intrepod walkers with unexpected evening refreshments and deep listening by the ‘I’ Ching River. And as we reach the vestiges of Epping Forest and survey the views from Queen Elisabeth the First’s Hunting Lodge, enjoy late summer evening dusk.

We hope to reach Chingford around 6pm where you can join the Overground.

Part of Re-walking InspiralLondon Trail 2024-25.

In 2015 an intrepid group of walking artists finished mapping a new spiral trail, tracing a pathway through 30 London Boroughs. As we near the trails 10th anniversary InspiralLondon invites new communities, individuals, and groups to re-discover their city through this unique inspiralling walk.
