Join InspiralLondon and Ian Thompson’s Hoo Peninsula (Watery) Soundings
This long exploratory walk – sounding out and listening in to this watery environment – takes you from the River
Medway to the Thames via Higham, along the route of The Thames/Medway Canal, dissecting a variety of artificial and natural landscapes teeming with life. The walk will stop at Higham around halfway for those unable to do the full days walking.
The walk is approx. 12 miles. Please bring a suitable packed lunch and refreshments – with suitable clothing and footware for venturing on the edge of a marshy landscape.
Times: 25 September from 11am – 5pm
Departure Point – Medway at the entrance of the canal –Meet at main exit Strood Station, Canal Road, ME2 4DR
Ending either halfway at Higham or at Gravesend Stations.
Expected Duration: 4 – 6 hours
