Hydrodetour Marine & Green – Watery Commons in Surrey Quays

Wednesday 22 September 2021 – Meet at Surrey Quays to head down to the Thames via Greenland Dock.
This walk follows the theme of “Marine & Green”, exploring the interplay of river, Docks, waterways & green spaces bound by the curving contours of the Thames in this unique part of the city
We will head West around the Surrey Quays peninsula passing Surrey Docks Farm, cut into Russia Dock woods & pick up the canal/channels to Surrey Water.
Finally we hit the Thames again at Rotherhithe exploring the village & waterfront & cut into Southwark Park to finish our explorations of Watery Commons at Canada Water (maybe options for Rotherhithe or onto Surrey Quays again if easier connections.)
Keith is a London Walks Guide and conducts tours for the Brunel Museum, in Rotherhithe Village. He will be joined by InspiralLondon Director Charlie Fox to talk all things Watery and Courage.
