Re-Walking the Trail 2024-2025

Re-walking InspiralLondon Trail 2024.
In 2015 an intrepid group of walking artists finished mapping a new spiral trail, tracing a pathway through 30 London Boroughs. As we near the trails 10th anniversary InspiralLondon invites new communities, individuals, and groups to re-discover their city through this unique inspiralling walk. During this year, 2024 and into 2025, we will re-walk, and re-tell, the story of this 300 mile trail as we re-spiral through London.

Re-walking InspiralLondon is a walking adventure that offers Londoners opportunities to join short walks, walking workshops and to participate in exploring the unexpected landscapes opened up through the inspirallondon trail. Walking together so we can share in the wonder and variety of the Metropole, and to be more aware of ourselves and others, in celebrating all the diverse life that inhabits the city.
In 2025 this shared story, made from rewalking together, and with new inspirallondon adventurers, will culminate in a festival of walking and in the final Re-Walking London publication as an alternative guide to walking in and through the city (scheduled Spring 2026). This walk and guide co-created from the collective imagination and overlapping stories of all Londoners.

We will be rewalking the trail over 2024 with over 30 walks. Updated information on the schedule and how you can get involved from February. Our first walking weekend was from 1-3 March, starting 4-7pm Friday 1 March with: Re-nighting at Kings Cross (Segment 1); Saturday March 2 from 10.30 am – 1.30pm Camden to Southwark (Segment 2); Saturday March 2 from 2pm-3pm Southwark to St Pauls (Segment 3) – see events for details.

A number of short linked walks offer a magical unexpected taster and opening to the majesty and scope of the trail – as we re-walk together through 2024-2025, in conversation with the ever changing cityscape of London.
